We want to thank all of you who have inquired about the Tri to Make a Difference Triathlon this year, AND we appreciate your patience as we have navigated the intricacies of this current season in our world. It humbles us to know there is still so much interest in and support for this charity race, benefiting Children’s Miracle Network of Amarillo. We are excited to celebrate the 15th year of the triathlon! We are grateful to the community of Lake Tanglewood, our participants, and our many volunteers for helping maintain the momentum of this special event that impacts so many children and their families.
At this point, the event will take place on September 12th at Lake Tanglewood as scheduled! Registration is now open.
It is prudent to mention that we are continually assessing the changing COVID-19 climate and considering any safety measures warranted for packet packet-up and race day. This is a year for agility, creativity and flexibility in all areas of life. We will post updates as we have them and will communicate our safety protocol (in consideration of athletes, spectators, and volunteers alike) by September 1st. We do know that our registration entries will be limited to 125 athletes this year to allow for increased space between athletes in the transition area and smaller swim waves.
